Integrations
Magento
Send your prices to your Magento site at the same time your prices are sent to eBay. This is useful if you use a Magento extension/service to sync your products to eBay so your prices aren't changed back next time the sync occurs from Magento.
Magento site setup
- Go to System, Integrations on your Magento site
- Select "Add New Integration"
- Set "Price Guard" as the name for the integration
- Click the "API" tab
- Leave this on "Custom" (or you can select "All" and skip step 2 below)
- Select the Products tree, nothing else needs to be checked
- Click the arrow next to save, and click "Save & Activate"
- Click "Allow" to continue
- These are the API token details needed by Price Guard. So keep the page open, or copy them
- Click "Done" when finished
- Go to your account preferences
- Select "Magento" from the Repricing dropdown
A new tab "Magento" will become available in the menu.
- Enter your Magento site base URL, eg https://www.mymagentosite.com
- Enter the 4 tokens/keys from the last Magento step
- You can either update the standard Magento price field or use a custom attribute field. Leave blank to write to the default price field, or enter the name of the custom attribute field
Now save your settings. You're done now unless you need a custom Magento field instead of the standard price field.
Magento add custom attribute field
If you want to use a custom attribute field for Price Guard to sync the price to, rather than the standard price field, continue below.
- Edit one of your products and click "Add Attribute"
- Click the "Create New Attribute" button
- Name your field "Ebay Price" (or whatever you would like to call it). This will mean that the value you enter into the Price Guard settings for this field is ebay_price
- Select "Price" for the input type
- Under the "Storefront Properties" heading, choose not to show this field's value on the listing pages
- Now save your new attribute
- On the edit product page, go down to the "Attributes" heading and ensure the field is [global]
- You're done. Now you can sync to this field, just make sure you set the name in the Price Guard Magento settings
