Send prices to Magento

Set up your Price Guard account and features.

Sync your prices to your Magento site instead of directly to eBay. This is useful if you use a magento extension/service to sync your products to eBay.

New integration

System, integrations

  1. Go to System, Integrations on your Magento site.

  1. Set "Price Guard" as the name for the integration.
  2. Click the "API" tab

  1. Leave this on "Custom" (or you can select "All" and skip step 2 below).
  2. Select the Products tree, nothing else needs to be checked.
  3. Click the arrow next to save, and click "Save & Activate"

  1. Click "Allow" to continue.

Integration tokens

  1. These are the API token details needed by Price Guard. So keep the page open, or copy them.
  2. Click "Done" when finished.

Price Guard Magento Settings

Now make sure you're on Price Guard website to enter the following settings.

  1. Go to your account settings.
  2. Select "Magento" from the Repricing dropdown.
  3. A new tab "Magento" will become available when you save.

  1. Enter your Magento site base URL, eg http://www.mymagentosite.com/
  2. Enter the 4 tokens/keys from the last Magento step.
  3. You can either update the standard Magento price field or use a custom attribute field. Leave blank to write to the default price field, or enter the name of the custom attribute field.
  4. Save the settings.

If you want to use a custom attribute field for Price Guard to sync the price to, rather than the standard price field, continue below.

  1. Edit one of your products and click "Add Attribute".

  1. Click the "Create New Attribute" button.

  1. Name your field "Ebay Price" (or whatever you would like to call it). This will mean that the value you enter into the Price Guard settings for this field is ebay_price.
  2. Select "Price" for the input type.

  2. Select "Price" for the input type.

  1. Under the "Storefront Properties" heading, choose not to show this field's value on the listing pages.
  2. Now save your new attribute.

  1. On the edit product page, go down to the "Attributes" heading and ensure the field is [global].
  2. You're done. Now you can sync to this field, just make sure you set the name in the Price Guard Magento settings.
